Is this physically demanding? How much walking is involved?
The fort and grounds covers many acres, and is located on mostly flat ground with no steep inclines. The tour is a walking event and participants should dress appropriately with comfortable walking shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather expected on your event date. The main barracks building is four stories tall, so persons who have difficulty climbing stairs may wish to avoid the upper floors of this structure and limit their access to the ground floor. The guided portion of the event will be held at a moderate pace to ensure that everyone present has an enjoyable evening. The self-guided portion of the event allows you to move at your own rate, so feel free to take as many breaks as needed throughout the night!
