An integral part of the fortress' formidable outer wall structure, sally ports, such as the one seen here, provided reinforced firing positions for some of the fort's many cannon and provided a secure firing point for the defenders' muskets against any attacking force. Many unexplained events have been reported in the sally ports over the years, and guests on the hunt will be provided with the opportunity to explore these mysterious emplacements for themselves.
